Some stories were great, some were boring and some just confusing. All in all an important collection of stories but not completely my style

A great anthology for a great cause! I am thoroughly impressed with the variety of themes and authors represented in We Are Wolves; some stories gritty, others poetic, all bringing something vastly important to the table. Women in horror at their finest, a very easy book to pick up and read a couple pages from at a time. Gripping and of course gory! I especially enjoyed The Curse of She, The Mutation of Almost Beautiful Things, and Extra Weight but as aforementioned, all the stories held aspects I enjoyed. Huge recommend for horror fans and of course for women and others interested in an evocative exploration of womanhood.

The foreword was beautiful! It was amazingly well phrased and full of emotion, but sadly not all of the stories had the same heart.

I’ll definitely check out some of the authors whose stories got a 5 stars!

Well written and terrifying. Feminist gore. Almost too gory for me, which is saying something. Be still, my beating heart!

Fantastic Anthology and a must-read!

The proceeds of this books go to a selection of charitable organizations that offer direct support services to survivors. This Anthology and the authors of these stories are raising money for survivors of harassment and abuse.

These stories contain strong themes like sexual abuse, harm to children, bodily harm, self-harm, child death, and several other descriptions of abuse.

“… we are alpha, the things with teeth and claws and hearts of hot blood, and we stand side by fucking side, as a pack, and you can hear us singing, if you listen.

And we don’t much care whether or not you like our song, because the time for that had long passed.

For we are wolves.”

Some fantastic work in here, and some not so fantastic. As with all anthos, it's a mixed bag.

All of the stories in this book were great, there wasn't a low point. Definitely worth a read.

A strong and painfully beautiful collection. Too many women will recognize themselves in these pages and it is a reminder that we will rise, sometimes soaked in our own blood and sometimes in the blood of those who have hurt us, but most often in both.
