This book drove me insane. I did not enjoy it at all. All of the characters bugged me, and i feel like this story took an odd turn. The story was no where near what I was expecting it to be. I was actually rooting for the bad guys, and they weren't very likable either.
All in all I did not enjoy this and I will not be continuing on.

A fun and entertaining adventure story that can be appreciated by adults and kids alike. Nothing ground breaking, but you'll have a good time and enjoy Daniel as a character. Will definitely continue on with the series.

The first book of a new young adult series by James Patterson, Daniel X is an alien hunter, taking over the project his parents started before their murder when he was young child.

I had previously read the corresponding graphic novel about Daniel X, and had a little knowledge of what the book was about, but this quick read gives some background but focuses on Daniel’s mission to bring his parents killer to justice – The Prayer.

While it we be awhile before we actually see Daniel go up against the #1 alien, Patterson shows us some of Daniel’s strength by putting him up against the #6 alien over the course of the book. It was interesting and quick to read and I look forward to continuing the series.

The intro is awesome. And theres no 4th wall in it, which is fun, he talks directly to you. And the audiobook has sound effects which I appreciate soooo much.

If his parents were alien hunters, why did they die so easily?

Hmm overall I liked this book at lot. It's really short but a lot happens and its fun and satisfying. I think I'll read the rest now!

Quite a bit of 12 yr old gross out humor but well written and unique world-building I guess. I read this because I love the Maximum Ride series from the same author but this was more for middle school boys than me and it shows. I’m not going to knock the book for be not liking it when I’m not the intended audience. Solid 4 stars.

It's a fun story for kids. There's enough action to keep middle grades entertained and not so much to keep parents upset.
Essentially it's aliens, a little love interest, some alien hunting, a little family and some entertainment all rolled into a story.

This was a decent book. It was funny, silly, and sad. I haven't decided whether I want to continue the series, but I might.
