Well, this series continues to take unexpected turns! This story ended in a very different way than I would have imagined.....I am ready to start the next book in the series and see where it all goes!

I'm going to DNF this at 50%. I loved this series when I started it years ago, but I think my tastes have chanced somewhat. I also think this particular entry is the worst so far. I'm halfway through the book and absolutely nothing is happening. The discussions the MCs are having are going around and around in circles. The writing is also pretty weak. The author says one thing, and then contradicts herself in the next paragraph or even sometimes in the next sentence. I'm at the point where I honestly don't care what happens next. Time to remove the rest of the series from my TBR.

This took me forever as I wasn't very interested in it. Not sure why. It ended the series perfectly. Maybe I just was over the series before I started it.

Kenner is in fine form in this instalment, as her main character, Demon Hunter Kate Connor, has her hands full from every direction: demons, toddler, teenager, current husband, ex-husband, etc. I thought the plot moved along at a nice clip, and even though I was starting to get a little tired of her pining away for Eric, it made sense that she'd be so obsessed with his plight, given that he is the father of her daughter and her first love.

The writing is snappy, the dialogue fun, and the characters are easy to like. I've been a fan of this series for many years, and although I've had my ups-and-downs with it (Book 4 was my least favorite), I thought the series definitely ended on a high note and I'm so glad I didn't skip the last book. (OK, so I just learned that this wasn't the last book after all, and Kenner self-published two more in the series. I'm happy with how this one ended though, and I likely won't be reading the other two.)

Final book in the series finished well. Definitely action-packed and page-turning. Some rougher language this time around, though. Some of the ins and outs of demonic behavior and possession weren't explained thoroughly - I'm pretty sure there were a few gaps in the logic somewhere - but the series is light enough to get away with blowing past that.

Didn't change my life. Isn't great literature I'll turn to again and again. But satisfying ending to a fun series.

Kate, the busy mom and demon hunter, its trying to balance her mom duties and her demon duties. This time her husband and daughter and are around to help out. Those are the twists. The same old is that there is a huge confrontation with a demon and Kate comes out on top. My problem with this book, is that it seems mostly a recycling of the previous books in the series, and I found myself getting very tired.

Another fun and emotional read

I love this demon hunting soccer mom and her antics and crazy family. This had enough of the humor with the family gut wrench that keeps you flipping pages.
