I liked it. I think I went in with too high of expectations and the ending was not big enough to satisfy the amount of build up there was throughout this book. There was way too much detail and development for such a lackluster ending.

Did not finish.. I wanted to love this book but it physically pained me to read . The writing style is unique, but I found it difficult to follow. The things that are supposed to be intriguing are just cryptic and confusing. Maybe I wouldn’t find it so horrible if they clearly swapped point of views between the characters.

WE ARE ALL THE SAME IN THE DARK

Does the title suggest that this is a book capable of keeping one up for two nights, trying to read it all in a blur?

Such a normal, innocent title, but within it’s pages is a fast paced crime plot, with 3 different POVs, and not one chapter or paragraph boring or unnecessary.

NOT THE KIND of book you’d want to read ‘just one more chapter’ before sleeping.

You have the regular quaint town, a disappearance, an unsolved mystery, the obvious suspect, and then the characters that look like suspects, only to reveal that the murderer didn’t really get even a full paragraph until the end of the book to describe him. So knowing the killer was impossible for the reader.

OVERALL RATING: 4.2/5
