Lauren Blakely delivers another winner in this spin-off of [b:Big Rock|26252659|Big Rock|Lauren Blakely|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1441742244s/26252659.jpg|46249382]. Mister O is hilarious, naughty, and delightfully sweet. Yes, this is a “best friend’s sister” love story, but the humor and affection prevent it from being just another forbidden romance.

The sexual tension pays off in a big way when Nick agrees to school awkward Harper in the art of dating and love making—and what a patient and dedicated teacher he winds up being. Nick may have sex on the brain 99.9% of the time, but his tenderness really got to me. I appreciated how sex is only one component of their arrangement. First and foremost, their relationship is based on friendship. They get each other—their quirks, inside jokes, fears, and dreams.

I have no patience for couples that play games with each other, and thankfully Nick and Harper don’t give in to manipulation. They may be cautious with their feelings at first, but they’re never less than honest.

The storyline may not be original, but it’s engaging. The characters are unique, funny, and likable, and there’s a surprising lack of drama. In case you’re wondering, the heat level in this book is off the charts! There’s a playfulness incorporated in the bedroom scenes as well that makes for erotic entertainment.

I was in the mood for a fun story and this really fit the bill. Mister O is an amusing and sexy treat!

I freaking loved Nick and Harper!

Mister O is the sequel to Big Rock. In it you will meet Nick, who is Spencer's best friend, and Harper, who is Spencer's little sister. These two probably have the coolest jobs ever known to man. Nick is a cartoonist and Harper is a fucking magician. A FUCKING MAGICIAN GUYS! I know zero people with those jobs and I'm trying to figure out where I went wrong in my life.

Nick has always had a huge crush on Harper (and without him knowing.. she has felt the same way too). I just loved whenever they were together. Their bantering just made me smile no matter what they were talking about. Heck they could be fighting over a freaking rock and I would still probably smile like a lunatic. Besides all of that, these two had some seriously awesome chemistry. I figured once they first slept with each other feelings and all that other lovey-dovey stuff was going to come out into the open. Thank god it did guys! The tension and teasing moments were killing me and all I wanted was for these two idiots to finally admit there was a hell of a lot more going on.

Besides all of that, I just simply loved them. I laughed so much, I shipped these two for like ever, and (again) I most definitely had my crazy lunatic smile on while listening to the audio. I would totally recommended these two books to anyone and everyone. I also can't wait to dive into anything else Lauren writes.

Loved loved!!

This was a fun filled read! Perfect blend of sweet and naughty. I loved the point of view. This book was filled with steamy scenes and lots of laughter.
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Diverse cast of characters: No

I FUCKED IT! I FUCKED IT SO MUCH!!! I've wanted Mister O the second I finished Big Rock. I'm so happy to finally have it

"YOUR PLEASURE IS HIS SUPERPOWER"
I definitely was left satisfied. Nick Hammer is all kinds of hot!!! His and Harper's chemistry is nothing short of perfection. This book was funny, it was sweet and it was hot. This is a book I can read over and over again no problem.

I just literally finished the book and loved it so much I can't write my thoughts now.
But let me tell you it was the most endearing and sensual book I've read in a long time !
I'm looking for another book that will give me all those feelings for my next read, if you have any suggestions, please do let me know :)

Another around of applause for Lauren Blakely! This was amazing from beginning to end. Thanks to this baby I only got 3 hours sleep.

Big Rock was (and still is) one of my favorite books of 2016. So when I heard there was a related standalone, Mister O, I almost peed with excitement. I don't think it's necessary at all to have read Big Rock first, but we do meet the characters there, and it was awesome, so I would encourage it. Mister O is another romantic comedy told completely in the male point of view.

Mister O is Nick Hammer (heehee) Spencer's (from Big Rock) best friend. He is a sexy, nerdy, cartoonist who pens one of the hottest adult shows featuring the adventures of Mister Orgasm. I think Mister Orgasm is based off of Nick and here is why:
Ask me my three favorite things and the answer are so easy they roll off my tongue: hitting a home run for my softball league, drawing a killer cartoon panel, and-oh yeah- making a woman come so hard she sees stars.
Not gonna lie. That last one is my favorite by about a mile. Giving a woman a sheet-grabbing, toe-curling, mind-blowing orgasm is pretty much the Best Thing Ever.

Spencer's sister is a magician. How refreshingly unique! She is funny, charming and talented, and Nick has begun to think of her as more than his best friend's sister, but he knows he can't go there.

“She’s quirky hot. Nerd hot. Video-gamer fantasy hot. She does kickboxing for workouts, she competes hard in our summer softball games, and she knows what house she’d be in at Hogwarts.”

Nick isn't a total player, despite his Mister O moniker. He's a good guy. A serial monogamist. Though he has feelings for Harper, he tries hard not to act on them. But when he sees how tongue tied she gets around guys she is interested in, and finds out she hasn't dated in a very, very long time, Nick volunteers to help her learn how to date.

"You pretty much just sealed the deal on being my sidekick, Princess Awkward."

Spencer is on his honeymoon, the Harper and Nick plan these lessons while Spencer is away. They always know there is an end date, and they both think it's all about the 'lessons" for the other. As Harper gets better at the basic lessons, she wonders how she will do when it gets further. She has had very little experience.

But she's far too tempting to resist--especially when I learn that sweet, sexy Harper, has a dirty mind too and wants to put it to good use. What could possibly go wrong as I give the woman I've secretly wanted some no-strings-attached lessons in seduction?

The couple is so cute. They are each flirting, then scared to be too obvious thinking they weren't the other's type (well, Harper flirts, Nick imagines her naked and writhing most of the time). The fun and sexy texts just add to the smile-worthy moments in Mister O.

Mister O

Likes:

  • •Sweet, funny, sexy and smart, I really enjoyed it!

  • •Mister O is the coolest job, and so is a girl magician!

  • •While the characters have very strong ties to Big Rock, Mister O stands completely alone. There is no need to refresh or read Big Rock first (though I still highly recommend it because it was awesome).

  • •Lauren Blakely writes great male POV.

  • •All the Princess nicknames.

  • •The flirty texts and banter.

  • •I smiled through the whole book.

  • •It was deeper than I expected.

Dislikes:

  • •Though I usually love male POV books, I would have loved a chapter or two in her POV. I really was never sure how she felt.

  • •The first half moved a little slow for me.

The Down & Dirty:

Mister O had all of my favorite things in a book: heart, humor, heat and HEA. Lauren Blakely is great at male POV; The things that Nick thinks are hysterical. But I would have liked to have seen a surprise chapter or more from Harper's POV. I felt like I never really got to know her quite as much as I wanted to. Still, I totally enjoyed reading Mister O with a smile on my face the whole time. I can't wait to read Wyatt's story in Well Hung.

Never met a boner killer as effective as a text from the brother of the girl you want to screw.

I love him. That's about it.

Dirty Girl Mechanic

I was expecting much less from this book from the snippet, and it ended up being a pretty fun read. There is a little bit of weird fourth wall breaking at the beginning, but overall, this was good.
