funny informative slow-paced

As I've said earlier, I have decided to leave (most) nonfiction works unrated as most times my intentions for nonfiction are different than that of fiction and I feel it is unfair for me as a reviewer to treat them the same. On top of that, I read this book for my French history class, so my judgment is also clouded by that. Nevertheless, I would say I really enjoyed this account of a popular French legend that has been passed down through generations. Although I wouldn't classify the prose of this as anything special, it is typical for most scholarly historical works. I would recommend this to anyone interested in French history!
informative mysterious slow-paced

Slow and thick, in my opinion. This isn't   bad by any means, it just isn't for me, or what I thought I was getting when I bought the book.

Favorite book I read for my course. Interesting story and Zemon-Davis gives great insight.

An interesting study on a case of stolen identity.
