I loved reading Second Duke's the charm. I wasn't sure if I would like it based on the first chapter and the fact that I did put it down when I first tried reading it.

I picked it up again this week and couldn't stop reading once I started.

I liked Justin and Tess's romance and how he fell first. Or maybe they did at the same time. I liked the spy part of the story, it added more intrigue.

I definitely can't wait for the next book.

Thank you Netgalley and P

Enjoyable. Just read it to read book 2, which sounded really interesting.

Really enjoyed this one. Giving it a 4 stars instead of a 5 because I felt the mystery the ladies took on was honestly rather simplistic and lackluster--it left me wanting more in that regard.

This book would be SO MUCH BETTER with more POV of the MMC. It really needed a better balance. I liked what I was given and I liked the FMC just fine. But the book would have been so much stronger knowing more of what *he* was thinking and feeling. IDK if this was an author decision or something publishers are moving toward but readers WANT the male POV. It's often the more. . . interesting (??) POV or controversial? IDK but we need it.

DID NOT FINISH: 68%

I usually love everything by Kate Bateman but this was so, so insta love and straight into bed that I just couldn’t deal with it. I wasn’t vibing with the romance and I wasn’t vibing with neither of the main characters as individuals. Might pick it up some other time if for no other reason than I’ve read everything by this author and I hate not finishing one of their books, but at least for now, this is a DNF.
