Das beste Nicholas-Sparks-Buch, das ich bisher gelesen habe. Ein schöne Liebes- und Familiengeschichte, aber definitiv nicht zu kitschig!

Reread. So I reread this as I own it still, but I could not remember how I felt about it originally. There's not much else to say really, it's a nice fluffy contemporary.

I really spent the majority of this book complaining only to cry like a baby at the end, hey? Life is wild.

At first I thought the book was going to be really annoying, with Ronnie being a stuck up brat, but I was happy to see that through the chapters and through other character's narratives you could see her warmth. I was very glad for that. I didn't think I'd be so emotionally into it by the end, but the way he wrote the parts about her taking care of her father near the end was very touching and sad.

I actually saw the movie, but I guess it was long enough ago that I forgot most of what was happening until it happened and then it felt vaguely familiar, however, I'm now wondering if I also read the book at some point.

Overall, I liked it. :)

Fourth beach read of 2019. I read this book back when the movie was gearing to release because I was a massive Miley fan (still am) and it was probably my favorite book back then. It was my first venture into more "grown up" books and first taste into what YA love stories held. I got rid of the book when my family moved in middle school because I had fallen out of love with reading and when I saw this book again in a book store several months ago I couldn't not buy it. Rereading it for the first time in probably 10 years was so magical, especially reading it out on a beach where most of the book takes place. It was still just as poignant and beautiful as it was when I was younger and still sits in my favorite shelves to this day. Now that I'm older and have had more experience with things that the book touches on, the book means different things to me. I still love it all the same.
