I totally see why some people like this author, but those were also the reasons why I didn't like it enough: the writing was plain and the characters were too unromantic, like some urban romances. Those have a certain appeal but I tend to prefer a more idealised version of romance in my books.

Let me say that I love this author.
I actually stumbled across her reading the Kings Reapers MC series and it was not until recently that I realized she had more books out.

This is an MC/Mafia mix series and it was sooooo good.
Tag and Lucy's start was hilarious to me but their chemistry was HOT!

Jane does an awesome job writing strong women character who deal with abusive significant others.  I've never personally dealt with abuse but I believe it's flawed to believe that someone dealing with abuse is weak.  I appreciate that Jane exposes that fallacy through her writing.

In addition to that, I loved the gym scene, so cute.

I loved Tag's obsession over Ella.  I think it was an interesting antagonist to his and Lucy's relationship.  However, I hated how Ella's story  played out.  I enjoyed the plot twist with her father but I did not like the reason why Tag and her parted ways.  I feel like for her story line it should have been one or the other but not both.

However, the book was so good that I overlooked it and still gave 5 stars.
