Out of the Smythe-Smith -series, Sarah and Hugh were my favorite couple.

homophobia, ableism, discussions of suicide and rapeCan be read as standalone, even though is the third book in the series. I would actually recommend reading this book before the 2nd book in the series: you probably get more out of the plot.
Graphic: Ableism and Homophobia
Moderate: Rape, Sexual content, Injury/Injury detail, and Physical abuse
Minor: Suicidal thoughts, Child abuse, and Sexual harassment

Moderate: Death of parent, Kidnapping, Child abuse, Domestic abuse, Ableism, Alcohol, Medical content, Rape, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Stalking, Suicide, Violence, Gun violence, Injury/Injury detail, and Sexism
