Enjoyable collection of short stories from popular authors paired together. It was fun to recognize some of the characters from other books I've read in unusually couplings with other characters. Lee Child's Reacher was a favorite, though I think I'm going to have to look into some of the other authors since I enjoyed their characters.

This is the first time I have ever read a collection of short stories before I avoid them just because of the authors I didn't know or really couldn't get into. After reading FaceOff I think I may have been wrong all this time. Not only did two of my favorite characters Gray Pierce and Cotton Malone have a story together I met a few character in which I will be looking up to read about in the near future. I would recommend this collection of short stories to people who are not only thriller writers but who are looking for something new and interesting to read.

Great collection of short stories. I read several of these authors frequently, and those were good as usual, but I also found a couple new authors I want to read from!

This book is the first ever collaboration of twenty three acclaimed thriller writers who have paired the protagonists of their popular thriller series together in eleven short stories.
⚔️
The basic premise is no doubt very interesting and the writers are giants in the thriller writing genre like Lee Child, R. L. Stine and Peter James among nineteen other big names all with solid thriller series credentials.

These names sell and the writers know it.

However, this book is a classic example of “Too many cooks spoil the broth”.
The stories lack charm and did not really hold my interest, I would have abandoned it midway but I couldn’t, not because of the book but because I can’t DNF

Not usually a short story reader but these are some of my favourite authors. Stories were all good, just left me wanting more. Good thing I have Matchup to read later!

This was definitely a cool concept for a set of SHORT stories written by pairs of authors and their main characters. It was hard to get a feel for how some of the characters are in their full length stories so I am using the chance to read these as a small introduction to some new authors and characters I might be interested in.

What fun! Baldacci's introductions are flawless and at time humorous. The stories do not disappoint.

Really enjoyed this anthology!

I normally don't really go for the short stories but this was too interesting to pass up and I was glad that I did read it. I like some of the pairings and the stories are inline with each of the characters that I have read and enjoyed. Plus the proceeds go to a good cause.

Highly recommended to fans of mystery/thrillers.

Fun, light reading. Stories were enjoyable even though I don't follow most of the characters. Good way to find new series to read.

I didn't read all the stories, as some characters I was unfamiliar with, but plan on reading some of the characters books as they all sound great!
