I put of reading Cinder for a long time but i'm happy i finally decided to read it. The book was so much better than I anticipated. I couldn't put it down and it is now one of my favorite books. I really loved the writing and the characters such as Peony, Cinder, Dr. Erland, and Price Kai. There were so many different aspects to the story but they came together so well. Overall Cinder was amazing and i'm looking forward to picking up Scarlet soon.

AHH! Slightly distracting as I was listening to this book while at work. I did only give it 4 stars because it was pretty cliché, some parts were very predictable. Thankfully, I am new to the Sci-Fi YA books, so at least for me, the characters and setting was new and interesting. I liked the references to fairytales and reminds me of Once Upon a Time on TV.

Starting the second book already ^_^

THE ENDING!! AGH! THAT CLIFFHANGER IS ILLEGAL!!!
*ahem* that was pretty good. I devoured this book these past two days. The start was a little slow but once it picked up it picked up. Great plot, great pacing, good characters, and the sci-fi twist on Cinderella? Loveeeee it. The one thing I do have to say is that Kaito's character is a little flat. He seemed like the typical goody-two-shoes that's nice to everyone and everyone likes him. Even Iko had more personality than him, and Iko is an andriod 😭 (sorry Kaito fans). In retrospect, this book read a lot more like a prequel than the first of a series, so I'm hoping the later books can be even better. 4.5 stars, hoping that Scarlet is a 5 stars. (Maybe Six of Crows have raised my standards too high lol).

I laughed, I cried. And I could stop reading!

I fell in love with the characters. My heart is pounding for Iko! Urgh! Iko is the sweetest thing ever!
The world was so well made. I found it funny that in every chapter there had to be something about a characters jaw xD.

I loved it and will pick up the rest of the series. Now I understand the hype for this series (:

It started slow and took me some time to fully get invested in the plot and the characters, but once I did I COULD NOT STOP. I loveeeed cinder's character growth, slow but surely she's getting there and taking her life back. Can't wait to read book 2!!
