Decent read! It offered an interesting take on the classic Cinderella story, even though it was somewhat predictable. Definitely a great choice for YA readers.

LOVING this book so far. I'm only a few chapters in and it has me hooked. It is seriously close to dethroning Ever After as the all time best Cinderella story :::swoon:::

NOOOOOOO!!! I have to WAIT for the sequel! The horror :( the end of the novel bumbled around a bit, but I had already fallen in love with it so I didn't take much notice and am excited to read it's companion due out in February.

Update...

I think what I am really attracted to is the main protagonist, she is a girl with a history who expands on that history to become who she is in the story. So there is great depth to her, not just "This is how you are and I'm going to write about you," kinda thing. There is a reason behind everything. So the second reading through and I was even more in love with it.

The rest of the story, while most of us know how it's going to go, the author has set a well know story into a truly unique world. I love her characters. I love the setting. I love this book.

Another 5 star book?? Yes I really enjoyed this one and I’m probably going to get the next one in the series for our roadtrip. I really liked the whole futuristic theme with cyborgs and such. Cinders brain panel is super interesting to hear about. Rip Peony

Wow! This is a Cinderella retelling like no other. It has most of the elements of the classic story, but Cinder is a cyborg -- a real girl with robot parts and wiring fused in. She meets the prince when he comes to her mechanic shop with an android that's malfunctioning. The android has state secrets on it regarding conflict with people who colonized the moon hundreds of years ago, called Lunars. War with the Lunars may be imminent if a peace agreement can't be worked out and the android knows something but she's broken... Also there's an incurable plague ravaging Earth that seems to have its origins from the Lunars. Cinderella with a serious sci-fi kick -- I couldn't put it down!
