only merit of this mmc is being celibate, because as a love interest he is weak. this man doesn't prioritize his girl, he deserves... nothing
I was so looking forward to reading Rio's charm but the storyline chosen meant we got barely any of it! The book was fine, but it wasn't remarkable.

The perfect ending to the series that got me into sports romances! Rio has been a favorite character of mine from the start, so getting to see his love story with Hallie unfold was absolutely beautiful. Their journey back to each other was full of heart, and I loved how they used music to hold onto special moments—it was so cute and meaningful. The found family in this series is unlike any I’ve read before, and this final book was such a heartfelt, satisfying send-off.
made me cry. no notes.
the perfect way to end a heartbreak healing series.

୨ৎ : “are you sure that’s not just a first-love thing?” “no, baby. it’s a last love thing.”
‘we’re all a bunch of transplants from other places who found a home in the windy city…and with each other.’

i am not okay that this series has ended. but i’m so glad to see rio and everyone get their happy endings. this series has been so special to me.
i loved seeing rio and hallie get back together and seeing how much hallie cared for him and showed that consistently and vice versa.
i cried so much in the epilogue hearing how rio talked about his friends.
anyway i am not okay and i need a spin off NOW.
a second chance romance book made abbie overly emotional? okay fork found in kitchen?
