Rio and Hallie are the epitome of the “always been you” trope and I loved it.

4.5!!!! Such a good ending. Liz you write amazing chemistry with these characters and the found family they made within the group in this book?? Ugh love. I loved Rio’s personality in this as well as the history we learn with Hallie. So so good

I liked this book! I would say my ranking for the series overall would be: 3, 4, 5, 1, 2. I thought Rio and Hallie were cute. I think the issue which ended their friendship in the first place was realistic and sensical, which is usually a struggle in this trope, and able to be recovered from. I liked how the author dealt with the reconciliation between them when the drama came out, how he felt guilty but they discussed it and dealt with it well.

I liked Hallie going to talk to his mom instead of breaking up with him, some communication probably would have been better/more effective though. I liked seeing the other characters in their roles, sweet but not too overwhelming, actually helpful to the plot not just a throw away cameo.
