5! I never realized how much I missed middle grade books. This gave all the feels I love Christian and Mal their so cute together I loved the premise of the islands and the mythical creatures in the world building. I loved the map the little/big illustrations I miss in books sometimes. This was actually a very creative premise and I can't wait to see what book 2 has ins store cause it sorta left on a cliff-hanger with a good ending
