This book reminded me so much of The Golden Compass, or The Neverending Story. It soared in its excitement and heartfelt and wholesome content. It was fantastical and moving. I loved it.

This is a great story for young readers who love mythical creatures. It’s also super timely for EVERYONE with its themes of absolute power corrupting absolutely. I wanted to underline whole passages, which is tricky when listening to an audiobook. 🤣
