This is such a fun book to read! It's like growing up in the family, getting to hear all the funny things their dad does and how their family works together for everything.
I remember really enjoying this when I first read it in high school. I enjoyed the reread as well for the most part, though about halfway through, I started getting a little bored. The antics are fun and it's interesting to learn about their life.

This book is really good! I love all of it and I also love the original movie made off of it. However, Steve Martin and the rest made a disgusting and terrible remake of such a great book. I was really revolted by how terrible they make such a good book look.
4 1/2 stars. This is a highly entertaining account of life in the Gilbreth household in the early twentieth century. The dad was a self-important gasbag that added a high degree of drama and daily challenges to the twelve offspring of the Gilbreth family. It's definitely worth your time to read it.
Dated but still entertaining. One must remember that the slurs used in this text were acceptable back when this was written
