The ending of the previous/first book rubbed me wrong. And I'm not going to lie that the beginning of this book kind of pissed me off. BUT, after that particular conflict, I loved this story. I loved that these two broken characters found each other and helped the other heal. This story sucked me right in and I devoured it in a day. It was the conclusion of their story-line but it was wrapped up nicely. I would definitely read more from this author.

I listened to the audiobook and it was amazing. I love these characters so very much. Broken, bent and all f**ked up.

Usually I'm terrible at continuing series, but I had to know what was going to happen! Plus I needed more Tenley and Hayden. I'm obsessed with them. What happened to them in the past was not only heart breaking, but I liked seeing their lives turn out for the best. It was a rough journey for them, but as things could have gone, they did a heck of alot better than I would have if I had been in either of their shoes. I knew one of the clues to the ending towards the beginning of the book. I got nervous towards the last 40 pages wondering if it was going to be solved. I do want more on their story.. I want to see their lives after they've come to terms with their past and how they continue out their lives together. obsessed! cannot wait for more books by her!!

"Hayden, you are everything I could ever want. You are the place I want to be."

I felt like the ending was a little rushed, but other than that I loved it!

I can't even fully put into words how much I loved this book and these fabulously imperfect characters. From the beginning there was something so special about Tenley and Hayden and their connection with one another. And no matter what got in their way, it didn't change. They had very crappy pasts that constantly threw wrenches in their lives with one another, but not once did it change the way they viewed and loved one another. Hayden and Tenley's connection is so special, ethereal even, just like the tattoo on Tenley's back.
From beginning to end I never wanted to put this book down. Reading this book felt so surreal, intense, dark and light, and just overall special. I truly loved Tenley and Hayden, but also all of their friends/family.
A HUGE and incredible 5 stars to the lovely Helena Hunting. Who truly made me feel with this book/series

This is book is the proof that New Adults (or any category) are not just about sex, teenagers or adults trying to get a relief in having sex and stuff. NO!
This book series is about discovering who you really are, finding out the things that make you happy or sad, finding some place where you really belong.
Is about love, caring, sharing happy and sad moments. It's so true, so realistic, so much like our lives, that I can't even <33333333333333333333
I must confess I got scaried once Tenley left Arden Hills and Trey behind, wondering if he was coming back for her. And it didn't got any easier once Hayden started having nightmares with Tenley shot at her chest. But every little thing turned out just fine and perfect and so beautiful <333333333333
I wonder why I took so long to start reading this book series!!!!!
*wipes tears* *sobs uncontrollably*

As I worked my way further through this series, the more and more it has read like fan fiction, and not the good kind. There are certainly moments of intrigue and sweetness, but it also read very predictably and cheesy. The elements of mystery added in were odd and frustrating at times. This book tried to be and cover too much. It was ultimately a nice fluffy read, that I didn’t have to think too much about when reading. However it was pretty forgettable for me.

In Inked Armor, we get the rest of Hayden and Tenley’s journey to love and healing. While this book is quite a bit darker than Clipped Wings, I think it was necessary to really appreciate the resolution once we get there.⁣

On top of the overarching theme of healing, I love that she showed some of the preconceived stereotypes that people deal with when they don’t conform to society’s idea of normal. Whether it’s tattoos or piercings, I do believe that people with body modifications are treated differently and, in some cases, even completely overlooked. She tackles this topic head-on, and it was perfect!⁣

A few other things:⁣

✔️Can someone please tell me how this woman manages to make cupcakes sexy AF? ⁣
✔️There was more angst than I normally like but I was so attached to the characters that I didn’t mind.⁣
✔️I love everything about Hayden and Tenley. Everything! Their honesty with each other in this one really got me.⁣
✔️I really enjoyed all the side characters and am looking forward to reading Chris and Sarah’s story!⁣
✔️Reading these books has me wanting tattoo number 4, but I have no idea what I want!⁣

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ⁣

This was an enjoyable conclusion to Hayden and Tenley's story. Their different traumatic experiences are difficult to navigate and their separation seems sensible at times. Hayden's experiences take more prominence in this book and it is interesting seeing him journey through revisiting this. They both seem to think that sex is the answer to brushing everything under the carpet and I found this slightly annoying but overall a good story.
