I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I really enjoyed it. I had read the Wolf Hotel series a while back and I loved Ronan, so I was very excited to get his story. Ronan's growth and development in this story was so well done. Seeing how he was before and then after Alaska showed not only the kind of man he was but where he was coming from. Also, seeing his continued friendship with Abbi and the interactions with Henry was refreshing and funny. The spicy scenes were good and the narration by Alex Kydd and Veronica Foxx was amazing. Can't wait for book 2.

Holy Smokes!! That ending!! I loved love love this series!! Absolutely amazing!! But that ending! Man I can't wait for the next one!! Definitely recommend this book and the whole Wolf Hotel series 100% I love Sloane and Ronan!!

‘You don’t need faster babe, you need deeper’

Incase you were wondering, yes Ronan is still the fck boy in this book as he was in the Wolf Hotel series books. And we loooooove him for it -
Ronan 🤝 authentic self

Release Me is split into two parts. Part one is ‘before Abbi’ and we meet Ronan as he meets Connor and starts working for Wolf Hotels. Part two is ‘after Abbi’ and takes place 2 years later, after the conclusion of Abbi and Henry.

It did not take me long to get sucked right back up in to this world - I don’t know what K.A. Tucker puts in her books, but I’m addicted. I feel like this will be how Wolf Hotel series was for me…all consuming. The only difference is I now have to wait for book two 😩 and on a cliffhanger! The chemistry between Ronan and Sloane be sizzling 😮‍💨

🖤 dual POV
🖤 playboy x good girl
🖤 business rivals
🖤 forbidden
🖤 secret hookups
🖤 starting over x2
🖤 that phone call between Ronan + Henry 🙊

Thank you to Valentine PR and the author for the ARC. Release Me is out now! (and on KU)

I’ll be honest, this was my first K.A. Tucker book and I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect… but wow, did it take me by surprise (in the best way!). I thought I was picking up a fun, beachy romance — and sure, it is that — but it’s also layered, emotional, and totally addictive.

From the very beginning, I felt like the author was speaking directly to me. That note at the start?! It completely pulled me in. There’s a sincerity in Tucker’s voice that made me want to trust where she was taking the story — and I’m so glad I did.

Now let’s talk about Sloane and Ronan. The banter? Chef’s kiss 🤌🏻 The tension? Off the charts 📈 I loved how strong and driven Sloane is — she’s not just “the love interest,” she’s her own person with goals and a backbone. And Ronan… 😮‍💨 He’s broody, guarded, and exactly the kind of character you think you’re going to roll your eyes at, but then he gets under your skin and suddenly you’re emotionally compromised.

There’s definitely steam, but it’s not just about that — there’s emotional payoff too. You feel the connection growing, and the push-pull between them never feels forced or repetitive. The pacing was solid, the setting was vivid, and the side characters actually added something to the story.

And then… THAT ENDING!!! I’m sorry, K.A. Tucker, what was that? I turned the last page in denial. I even scrolled to make sure I didn’t miss an epilogue or something... So yeah, now I need book two like… YESTERDAY!

Needless to say, this won’t be my last Tucker read. I was so invested by the end that I literally jumped straight into her The Wolf Hotel series because I wasn't ready to let go of her writing just yet.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Especially if you love slow burn with bite, emotionally guarded men who fall hard, and smart women who don’t let them off easy. It's romantic, spicy, heartfelt, and impossible to put down. This one surprised me in the best way and left me completely hooked.

Thank you, K.A. Tucker and Valentine PR for the arc.

I really enjoyed the second half of this book but I think I would have given 5 stars if I read it differently.
I feel this should be read before abi (first part) then the wolf hotel series then the second half. I read the wolf series ages ago and it took me a while working out thing.

KA Tucker you’ve ruined me again…

✨Important ✨Release Me is a spin off from Wolf Hotel so if you haven’t read it, run and devour it so you don’t miss a thing!

Release me follows along Ronan, our bff of Abbi and Sloane as they navigate tricky situations and sexual tension that had me blushing. I loved the way we started with ‘Before Abbi’ and then ‘After Abbi’ and watched Ronan’s character develop after heartbreak and finding himself again. The friendship between Ronan and Connor was such a vibe!
I absolutely love Sloane and her take no bullshit, stand up for herself even amongst chaos. She was such a strong character and I will be rooting for her!
This book ends on a major cliffhanger with multiple plot points unanswered which has me BEGGING ON MY KNEES for book 2.
