Hockey has almost nothing to do with this book, so don’t be surprised when it’s barely mentioned. Realistically this is about two people with opposite upbringings falling in love. I’m a sucker for a bad boy with tattoos… even better when he has a bike and says the things that come out of Saint’s mouth ☠️

"I'll be her villain. I'm the big bad wolf, and the only thing I'm hungry for is the taste of sweet little Lennon."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oh boy, where do I start with this one.
This was a really beautiful book, diving into the life of controlling and abusive parents, and I really appreciate that it exists.
I absolutely adored everything about this book.

The insight to Saint's home life was really eye opening, while also evoking a sense of empathy towards Saint and why he is the way he is (closed off to literally anyone and everyone, and refuses to get close to them etc.)
I loved seeing both Lennon and Saint break down each others' walls; slowly but surely.

"She looks like a goddess. And I feel un-fucking-worthy."

Witnessing Saint's healing was beautiful, and I really loved every moment between these two MCs; while also seeing them both saving the other.

I felt that this one had perfect pacing; their relationship evolving at a steady, genuine pace.
The banter was perfect, the spice was perfect, the emotions were perfect.

This book was perfect; and I am going to need about 28 business months to get over Saint's mouth.

Thank you, Maren Moore and Valentine PR, for the opportunity to read this eARC!

The Bad Boy Rule

What to expect:
⛸️ Figure skater
🏒 Hockey
⚡ Opposites attract
💋 Fake dating
🔥 Enemies to lovers

Saint and Lennon deliver *peak* enemies-to-lovers tension. The banter? Absolutely delicious. ❤️‍🔥

Saint's backstory is heart-wrenching and deeply relatable. Maren Moore approaches it with real sensitivity, and it adds so much emotional depth to the story. You just want to give him a hug… and then swoon over a neck kiss scene that *completely* took me out. 💋

Saint might just be my new favorite Maren Moore MMC—he's the definition of a broken hero: wounded, guarded, and rocking a filthy mouth that had me blushing. 😆

And Lennon? She’s the golden girl who's finally done playing perfect. Watching her break away from her parents’ expectations and start living for herself was such a satisfying journey.

What starts as a fake relationship to prove a point to her dad (yes, she’s dating the bad boy on purpose) quickly evolves into something real and electric. These two bring out the absolute best—and hottest—in each other. 🔥

This book blends romance and steam with raw, emotional storytelling. You can feel the personal touches from the author, and it makes the story that much more meaningful.

God, I love these two. Lennon had strength from the beginning and watching her come fully into her own was fun to watch’s and saint! Ugh protect him at all costs because he deserves all the love ever. The way he’s gone for Lennon is so good and their spice together is, whew!

I fear this is one of my favorite Maren books to date. I never thought I would find something that would hit me in my feels quite like Catching Feelings did but Maren entering her bad boy era really did me in. I finished reading this a few days ago and I still haven’t stopped thinking about Lennon and Saint. Their story was full of so many memorable moments. But being able to see the times where Saint let his guard down and knew he could trust Lennon with his dark past—I was certifiably emo.

Saint Devereaux was my favorite broken baby boy. With his rough and tough exterior but having this kind/compassionate side in him gave him this perfect balance in my opinion. Lennon really surprised me. Walking into this story knowing she was the “good girl” I wasn’t sure what to expect. But she was so wonderful! I loved how Maren already had her go through some self-actualization before we jumped into this story. She was determined and very strong willed. I loved how she gave sass and attitude to Saint right from the start. Like it made me giggle and kick my feet the entire time 🙂‍↔️

Saint and Lennon essentially have reasons for their “revenge aka fake dating” and ironically it is towards the same person. While Lennon shares her reasons for having Saint be her fake boyfriend, he doesn’t disclose his reasons till later. But when he does, oh my—that had me so emotional. Lennon really brought out the best things in Saint which helped heal his broken parts. And Saint really let Lennon shine and be the 𝒈𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍 that she  truly is.

I am so excited to continue on in this series!

Saint & Lennon

After a scheduling mix up the figure skater and hockey player are forced to share the ice. They’re polar opposite, he’s a bad boy and she’s a good girl. He holds a grudge because her dad is responsible for the work accident that kickstarted his dad’s addiction. He plans to get back at her dad by tarnishing his precious daughter. She plans to use him to prove a point to her dad. But then their fake scheme starts to become real
