Oh my lord.
Even though I ended up reading this book like a chapter a month it still managed to become my favorite of the series so far!
I actually don't have anything negative to say for once eitheršŸ˜³
Would read again 100%

The third installment in the "Shatter Me" series "Ignite Me" was okay, I appreciate how Juliette acknowledges her feelings for Warner at this point while Kent's character is literally written into the ground. It's not groundbreaking or particularly romantic though, and I felt like I breezed through the chapters pretty quickly. I probably would've liked this more as a teenager, because the superpowers and stuff is kinda cringe, but still managed to finish three books in the series.

I liked this book better than the previous books.
Also, I can't stand drama queen Adam.

3.5 stars ! it has been an interesting reread of the series thus far, and though i was first apprehensive about there being three more books, i can see why they were written because a lot less of the ending is wrapped up than i remembered there being. one of my biggest complaints is just how annoying and useless juliette is as a character, and there is definitely a lot of development in this book, which was nice to see, but should a seventeen-year-old who has minimal people skills and barely any knowledge about the outside world really be leading it ?? not sure about that one, but i'm excited to read more about how she's going to make this whole situation work in the next couple of books.
also, not to be an adam apologist because he did do a lot of shitty things in this book, but i remember genuinely hating him so much the first time i read this series, but looking at it now, he's just a simp for juliette, and i don't want to fault him too much because he just wants to keep his brother safe and continue pining after juliette, and his reasons for hating warner and not trusting a lot of the things that have happened are honestly understandable, considering how juliette lacks any semblance of communication skills and how warner chooses to portray himself.
overall, it wasn't the strongest ending, and i would have been fine with the series stopping here, but i am looking forward to seeing how they will rebuild and try to right everything, especially with such an incompetent leader lmao
