I wish authors could write soft FMCs without infantilizing them.

Speaking to the three book series generally, this being the last book, it was a bit of a let down with the way it ended. The first two and a half books gave the impression the fulfillment of the prophecy was going to be a lot longer and more intense than it was. I thought until about 50 percent of the way through this book there had to be a fourth book.

Also, for two and a half books, there really wasn't a lot of issues or chaos going on that it seemed the world needed much saving from.

I did love some of the characters, for example Malachi was a favorite. But for all the lead in with the first two books, I think the series could have benefited from spending some of that time by better developing the characters back stories or more action going on.
