First time in a while something delivered exactly what it promised, certainly gave me a better appreciation for Season 8

This was great! I love Game of Thrones and I love behind the scenes types of things. Edited together well, good interviews, interesting material. All together, not a must-read, but still a great read if you're a fan of the show!

James Hibberd is talented but he comes off here a bit as a biased fan boy and I didn't feel like I came away with anything substantially new. It was a fun read but didn't change or affect how I saw the series or the experience in any new way, which was disappointing. I would not have read it if I had known it had nothing new or original to say.

If you're a fan of the show, books or idea of game of thrones, it would be hard not to like this book. There are some fun elements, and some expected discussion, but overall there isn't anything shocking or surprising. The seasons are spelt out and the interactions are explained as best they can. I think the pre game points were the most enjoyable, but overall it's a good read.

Overall, the author is too close to the subject and is clearly biased. The book did not cover some parts in detail and covered a season in a chapter. So maybe another writer and some more time since the show ended would make the book more interesting and worthwhile. Other oral histories of shows have been successful so I was disappointed.

Years of work went into this book and you can tell. I hadn't really heard much behind-the-scenes tidbits of the show so most of the information in the book was new to me. The format was fantastic! There were interviews for each topic and the whole thing had a nice narrative flow. I usually skim through these types of books but I read this one from start to finish. I absolutely loved it!

One of my goals this year is to read more non-fiction. Of course I set that goal with the idea of tackling the non-fiction books already on my TBR, not to buy another one on a whim and read that. Hello, my name is Frieda, Fickle Frieda, and I’ll be your host today

While it was cool to get a behind the scenes look at the logistics and challenges of producing the show, as well as hearing from the actors…
