It’s a little cheesy, and ridiculous and I absolutely loved it. It’s so funny and like your favorite Rom-com mixed with an adventure.

I am so torn on how to rate this book. I am not a fan of romance at all, and I found the romantic story elements cheesy and they were far too prevalent, almost to the point of boredom. However, the adventure was fun and kept me interested enough to keep reading. If it wasn't for that, I would rate this a 4 due to the excellent writing, so incredibly witty, that drew me in from the very beginning. I would be very interested in reading more books from this author if she eased up on the romance parts.

I loved everything about this book! Lottie and Alex are my new favorite book couple! The flirty banter is on point and the witty humor is super satisfying!

While I wasn't a big fan of the first book, this one started so well, but it didn't last long.

The plot is pretty simple, the pirate and the witch hunting for an amulet for their own purposes. Both enemies to each other, find themselves in a position where they become allies. It sounds very interesting but I had zero interest in the amulet which was a major part of the plot. All I cared about was the romance, which India Holton does write well.

I was having so much fun with the two characters but I just don’t think the enemies to lovers lasted long enough? I just wanted a bit more so burn plus they got together by the half of the book and I was bored by the end of the book. I started losing interest to Alex in the second half of the book, there's not much to his personality except for being a pirate and loving Charlotte. Charlotte, was okay but even after 324 pages, I don't know much about her.

Not my cup of tea as you could say !
