MF - contemporary romance - moderate steam - white MCs - pov first dual - surprise baby - class gap (wealthy MMC) - celebrity (MMC) - hockey (MMC) - grumpy (FMC)/sunshine (MMC) - hurt/comfort (danger bang) - mature MMC (30s) - one night stand - single parent - small town - 5 stars.
This one aligned more with Bittersweet, though the MMC's mother died of a drug OD when he was 5 and his dad was physically abusive . The characters were sweet and funny together, and the dynamics around introducing Dave to his nearly two-year-old kid were adorable. There's very much strong-man-holding-sleeping-baby porn and him taking care of her and making up for not being there all along. His sister (Bess I think?) was a hoot.
