MF - contemporary romance - moderate steam - white MCs - pov first dual - surprise baby - class gap (wealthy MMC) - celebrity (MMC) - hockey (MMC) - grumpy (FMC)/sunshine (MMC) - hurt/comfort (danger bang) - mature MMC (30s) - one night stand - single parent - small town - 5 stars.

This one aligned more with Bittersweet, though the MMC's mother
died of a drug OD when he was 5 and his dad was physically abusive
. The characters were sweet and funny together, and the dynamics around introducing Dave to his nearly two-year-old kid were adorable. There's very much strong-man-holding-sleeping-baby porn and him taking care of her and making up for not being there all along. His sister (Bess I think?) was a hoot.

Loving this series. The FMC really pushed the limits of my patience in this book, but in the end, I liked her. Can't wait to read May's book next!

Sarina Bowen’s True North series is consistently refreshing. All the books take place in the same sleepy Vermont farming town. While they involve interconnecting characters, each book is a standalone with a distinctly different feel. Bountiful is like a warm fuzzy blanket. It’s a cozy romance featuring a bartender/barista/baker, a baby, and a babe.

I used to think of Zara as the hardened bartender who got knocked up: baby daddy unknown. This book shows that she is so much more. I actually enjoyed her prickly edges in the beginning of the story, but I really connected with her humble yet strong maternal side. I loved her journey.

Oh, my aching ovaries! Give me a hunky hockey player snuggling with a baby, and I’m a goner. Dave may be a bit slow to clue in to the blessings right in front of him, but he’s a genuinely good man with an easygoing nature.

Bountiful reminds me of the old school romances that first attracted me to the genre. There’s realistic conflict without angst, and plenty of tender, loving moments. Well done.

If you like secret baby stories, you will love BOUNTIFUL from Sarina Bowen's TRUE NORTH series. Zara is a tough, prickly heroine with a soft heart, and hero Dave is a sweet and sexy pro hockey player. There's even a cameo by Leo Trevi, who appears in four of Bowen's series at my last count. I adore this book and this series—don't miss it!

Everything about it was immature. The inner monologue, the dialogue, the jokes, the characters. I knew it was a surprise pregnancy book and I could not fathom how such childlike characters were going to handle such a real-life issue, so I had to dip.

I’m totally backwards. I started reading the World of True North & Roommate before reading Sarina’s True North books

I loved every minute of this story. Dave and Zara are such a wonderful couple. I think being a new mom myself made this book hit me in all the feels.

I enjoy this series so much. It makes me want to go on vacation in the countryside, maybe pick some pears and drink some cider. I usually don't care about romances with kids but this one was so much fun. I love Zara and how motherhood changed her outlook on life.
