This book was really amazing, I just loved the way that Berhard built the narrative... I was so attached w/ the main characters that i could really feel what they feel. The story between Michael and Hanna made me felt a little bit sad, but at the same time that i should never give up of someone i really love. I just cry in the end when Hanna killed herself 'cause everything she been through, the pain, the lying, the shame and that love that never ended in her mind.
I didn't gave 5 stars 'cause at the same time that i loved it i expected a little more from both characters, but anyway...
This book made me cry and laugh at the same time, soo 4 stars!!

I really loved this book. I thought the writing was beautiful and the story had me completely wrapped from the beginning.
Most people may think this is a book about an older woman trying to seduce a young teenager in some kind of perverted way, but it isn’t. The relationship between Hanna and Michael was tender and simple. The time they spend together follows Michael throughout his life but doesn’t affect it the way you think it might.
This book was a quick read and I highly recommend it.

The Reader was a very easy, short read and the writing was good, but I can only just say that it was so-so. I wasn't captivated like I had hoped. Part of this may be on me, because I was listening to it and found that I would zone out for minutes here and there. It is still an interesting story- that combined with it's easy length and popularity, I would still recommend this.
