Like The Da Vinci Code but on steroids. Over the top fusion of immortality with immorality, Knights Templar, the Presidency, and autonomous robots. Set in the Seychelles, Somalia, Dubai, and South Carolina. Fast paced page turner that entertains with shocking reveals at the end.

I love James Rollins. I love this series. Even though there was little plot twists with the overall characters, the entire book kept me entertained.

I love Tucker and Kane too. Being in Kane's head was awesome. I love German Shepherds.

The plot wasn't as interesting as some of his other books but the characters made it more enjoyable and pulled it all together. I am completely hooked on James Rollins' Sigma Series.

3.5 stars
5 stars for the science, which was enthralling and well explained if not entirely realistic
2 stars for the brutalities. These horrors are real for some women somewhere, I just know it. Incubators. *shudder*
+ for sexual tension
- for the rushed ending. I would have loved to have read about how
Spoilerthe Guild was taken down.

+ for showing humanity in villains
- for the arch-villains being the women

Some characters and events made me cringe and want to go into a killing spree. Again. That happens more often these days, which is... not good for humanity.

Rollins is as good as ever. Would have been another 4 star sigma book but the last 25 pages... whoa! On to the next book!
