I didnt care at all ab Liz or Hugh in the other 5 books but omg I should have! I enjoyed this far more than I anticipated. The beginning was quite slow but necessary to build their childhoods. I want someone to come up with a master tandem read list of everything.

Liz being bipolar makes sense but omg her trauma is extensive. Her grudge for Gibs is heartbreaking bc of how differently they are both growing up handling the same trauma from stupid Mark. All rapists gotta die. Anytime he had page time I wanted to puke. I felt so frustrated that nobody would listen to Liz and then High when he saw the woman. Who is that woman? My theory is a family member stalker. Something is also sus when at the end there theres 3 missing years of her medical records. Liz is an unreliable narrator but like I realized it when we had holes in the story for her memories. Hugh is so overlooked its insane he is so smart and driven and dependable and loyal and nobody realizes how much he has on his mind. Pierce needs to just leave like get outta here bro. Katie is sweet and unfortunately for her shes gonna get heartbroken when Hugh has to end up w Liz. Smt is up w Feely, obv he is in Hugh’s shadow, and is smt is up w his home-life on the farm. Rip Caoimhe, also a victim and then was held hostage w Liz for a week?! Also Hugh’s Dad just falling into himself after his Bestie Gib’s dad died so sad but like u do have responsibilities and I back Hugh for not accepting words of apology without actions.

OMG I finally finished. Took me almost a month. Most traumatic thing I’ve ever read in my whole life and was actually horrific. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 no words. Sent jema updates throughout so my texts are my reading journal lol but actually that was horrific I had to take breaks for my mental health. Words cannot express the hatred I have for mark and pierce and some of the other people in this series far out but Hugh is a gem and THEYRE SOULMATES. 

Zo I do not recommend you read this lmao. THIS SERIES is the greatest love stories and the most trauma one person can think of tbh don’t do it
