Swimming Lessons was an easy, relaxing read. It felt like a little glimpse into Lily’s diary. Her poems are short and simple. I would’ve loved her words to have some more detail and depth, but overall a nice book if you’re not looking for something too full on.

Mediocre poems that lacked depth. I actually have enjoyed modern poetry collections before but this felt too much like basic instagram poetry. Love Lili as an actress but as a poet, this is basic quotes to me. There was a few poems that I enjoyed, especially the ones relating to anxiety and depression. But overall, this was disappointing.
