emotional sad medium-paced

I like the first part of this book. I love the chemistry between the young Landon and Evie. However, the second part feels rushed and I'm losing my interest. I like Ella James' other books, maybe , this one not for me.

This was amazing!!!!
This book proved why I love Ella James so much!!! It had everything! An intriguing story, relatable characters, an emotional love story and the bittersweet taste of the forbidden.
Evie never expected to fall for her new foster brother. It is one thing to be friends with your foster brother but another thing to fall for him.
Landon is one of those characters that you can tell from the start that you are going to love. He was mysterious and under his moody facade, he had a heart of gold.
Their relationship was one of a kind and I trully felt for Landon 's backstory. It was heartbreaking and my heart hurt for him when twists tore him away from Evie, the one person who really saw him.
What happens when they meet again years after being torn apart? Read to find out.
I cannot recommend this book enough! It clicked all the right boxes for me.
Superb writing, fast paced plot and characters that will speak to you. Loved it.

The perfect otp ever ugh I'm in love

I didn't think I would love this book so much since the story is about the heroine falling in love with her foster brother and stories like those usually just focuses so much on sex lol

and to be honest I just picked this book because I was up for reading some smut hahahaha

but yeah I didn't expect this to be one of my favorites. I love that this is my first read for 2020 too. so does that mean there's more great books that I'll read this year? I hope so

anyway back to the book
I loved that it never really felt like they were brother and sister (well they're really not) so it didn't weird me out when they kissed and did some other stuff
they never treated each other like siblings even though they care about each other a lot
there were some really cute banter but it was never like sibling banter
crazy I can't explain this properly but yeah

The first part of the book was so cute
i love the alternating POVs and them not being able to hide their feelings for each other
the hero cared a lot about her and really helped her when she needed someone
and UGH I'm a slut for heroes who shows how much they care

I didn't expect the last line of Part I and when I got to Part II I thought 'oh no am i gonna hate this' lol
I'm not really a big fan of the accidental pregnancy trope ever since undeniably you

The second part of the book was 10 years later and I was actually waiting for them to get mad at each other but they didn't and I was so happy with that since it's not what I expected.
This book just keeps surprising me and I loved it.

Their love for each other are so strong that whatever happens/happened, they just want to get through it together. And I love them both for that.

I also want to point out that there was no OW/OM drama. Bonus points, am I right?

I feel like there wasn't much of their daughter in the book. Like I wanna know what happened when Landon met Ash, and I wanted more of Evie spending some time with her daughter. Since I think it was such a big deal at the end of Part I. After I read that first part, I instantly wanted to know what happened to her child.

All in all, it was such a great book. Loved the characters. Loved the ending. Although, I wish the book was a little bit longer.
