There was some good parts and there were some parts which I felt a but unnecessary or drawn out.  It was slow to start and a bit repetitive in the beginning but then it picked up and finally the story moved along.
I liked how you did not know who the victim was for the most part of the story.

Picked some twists but not others! Did not pick the victim at all.

A slow burn that pays off in the end. I struggled for a bit with this one, trying to keep straight who all the characters were and how they’re related. This one could be a bit stronger if there were two fewer characters, letting their storylines get absorbed into others. As for the plot itself, I don’t think there are too many NYE murder mysteries, or if they are, I haven’t read them, so that was a cool take. It’s interesting that a group of old college friends would choose to spend one of the more party-centric and congested holidays out in the middle of no where. Also, is it just me, or did Ibiza gain a lot of pop culture relevancy around 2018/19, so probably after when these characters would’ve gone during their college years. At times, I felt like I predicted the reveal, but then the story kept me guessing.

Enjoyable. A little bit mediocre here and there.

I was really hoping I would love this one because I didn't enjoy Lucy Foley's other book, The Guest List. But sadly, it wasn't meant to be. I did like it more than The Guest List, but not by much. Lucy Foley is a great writer. I just don't enjoy her books because all of her characters are unlikable and have shitty personalities. I know this is a me problem because other people enjoy her works and that's great! But I have to like the characters to like the book.
