Ares was such a delightful addition to the series, and I really enjoyed seeing how this story built up. I have such a soft spot for sexy MMA romance. I really liked that both the hero and heroine are MMA fighters. The hero retires and ends up being her coach, and I really liked how he is able to really focus her emotions on fighting and becoming a better fighter. Ares is also the God of War and so seeing how they are so equally matched and how she so readily accepts him and his nature was pretty great and we get back to Hades who plays a role in them finding their way to their HEA. I really loved the way that Carly Spade built this story and developed the romance, I became so charmed by it. Definitely, a strong edition to the series and I am eager to continue on more.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Mars & Harm, the snark and annoyance, the slow burn, the slowly built trust and the explosive spice. I enjoyed Ares as a character a lot more than I had anticipated (not that I thought I wouldn’t like him)

This is book 3 in the Contemporary Mythos series we are introduced to Harmony Makos who goes by Harm she is an MMA fighter at the top of her game . When she goes to watch another fight she sees Mars and when they see each they feel a connection. When Harm is threatened her manager brings in a bodyguard and it turns out to be Mars although she isn’t happy they both soon realise they have feelings and that’s when Mars tells her he’s really Ares the god of war. I love listening to stories about Greek gods and this is another hit from Carly Spade and the narration by Sophie Daniels was great her male voices are perfect especially her Ares voice .

I didn't connect as much to Harm as I did to the heroines in the previous books, but I still really liked her character. She was strong and determined. Because of her past, she didn't really open up to anyone, so I enjoyed watching her slowly open up and become comfortable with Ares as their relationship developed. One of my favorite parts of this book was the banter between Harm and Ares. They were hilarious together.

Another one of my favorite things from this book was the appearance of other Gods and Goddesses. It's always super fun to see those little cameos.

I listened to the audio version of this book and really enjoyed the narrator, Sophie Daniels. She did a great job of voicing all of the characters.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series!

Stopped when Ares, god of war, is dressed as a Trojan condom character and is dancing techno with harm.
It’s too goofy for me
Also, zero tension. I do like that harm is strong and independent but there is no chemistry. It just goes from zero to oh yeah I want him. Even the flash backs that are meant to be steamy fall flat for me.
