An exceptional addition to the Strike series. Even persuaded me to watch the Strike series in BBC which is a great adaptation of the books. Brilliant and compulsive read.

I have some mixed feelings about this book, but overall, I really enjoyed it. I read in like three days, so it's definitely a quick read!

First of all, I enjoyed the fact that we got to see the POV of the killer. Although I have mixed feelings on how that made the book more creepy and disturbing, I feel that shows how well written it is. But I definitely had a hard time with the creepiness (I'm a wimp...).

Second, I'm not a fan of Matthew at all. He's the worst. Despite (and because of) the back story, I still don't buy them being together, and I really wish he wasn't in the story.

Third, I might be the only person who doesn't want Strike and Robin to be together. So I'm really not crazy about how she seems to be implying that they might get together at some point. I like them as friends and just friends.

wow wow wow
what a first class series, absolutely hooked from the start all the way to the end, did not want the story to end. I hope the author will continue with the series it still feels like there is more to come. so yes I would recommend this to anyone who loves murder/crime and a little bit of humour... just a wee bit but it's there.
