I think if I read this when I was a teenager, I would have devoured this. Since I'm several years removed from my teen years, a lot of this book didn't work for me. I think this is a fine story and there are some lovely parts. And while the ending felt too perfect and like a Hallmark ending, I can admit that it made me slightly emotional.

I wish there was more complexity to the side characters. I hate romance novels where the characters have no friends whatsoever. It's hard because I grew up in a small, judgmental town and I know how people are in that environment, but there is some complexity to their inner selves. It's disappointing that nearly all of the characters in here, aside from Ryan, were just stereotypical small town, conservative jerks. Also with the ending
I didn't like how Stevie so easily forgave her mother for something that was pretty terrible. It's a bit jarring when Stevie ends her friendship with Rory and Savannah for essentially the same thing that her mom does. It's just strange that her parents do this 180 without any meaningful build up to that point.

I liked Ryan. He was probably my favorite character in here.

While this wasn't my favorite read, I am glad that a book like this exists and that it ends on such a hopeful note.

I'm picky about prose when I read, and the prose in this book didn't grip me or feel very indulgent. I still think it was well written though, and I was completely swept away in the story!

A quick read that I ate through in 2 days. I felt well immersed in the setting and characters, and I cried through part of the book. Every part of the story was very well thought out, and I would probably even read it again some time.

If you're looking for a 'young lesbian in a conservative town' story, I couldn't recommend this book more highly :)
Especially if you want a happy ending or want to feel seen.

Absolutely no notes. Beautiful story. Thought I had made it through without crying and then I read the last 3 chapters.

This book is so ridiculous. The pacing is off and the premise isn't properly executed, so it's more fun to laugh at then to really read. I actually like that most of the characters are made to be hated because it gives you some passion while reading.

I had a physical pain in my chest the whole time I read this. The most heart wrenching, beautiful thing. I sobbed in relief at the happy ending.

This book plays with the amnesia trope in a way that is very unique. I love how Stevie’s pov is written. Ultimately, some of the relationships between Stevie and her friends seem a little off, and too many characters seem really flat, and developments seem to be pushed along regardless of whether the groundwork for them had really been laid. It is a good story about the power of tenacity and love to change your world.

This was a pretty enjoyable read. I’m not sure that I really liked that Stevie never got her memory, but I’m not sure whether this is realistic amnesia rep. I really liked the romance between Nora and Stevie. I understand why Nora didn’t tell Stevie but I felt like she deserved to know. I wish the last two chapters had been stretched out a little more. Overall I really liked this book.
