After a few days post-reading, I still am coming to terms with this book. The story is so intricate and at points, it’s amazing to see a beautiful friendship blossom in the midst of such a terrible scenario for two young girls. I will say, about two thirds of the way through, I completely lost track of who was who, but that might’ve been the sheer amount of time it took me to get there (NOT in a bad way, I’ve been really busy so my reading had to be put to the side for a moment).

One thing I will say is that the ending seems almost a little fast, it just sort of happened in a way I wasn’t expecting. Still enjoyed it though.

Overall for this book "Mountain Girl,River Girl" i said i really liked it. Why? Because this awesome story, holds your interest with its two man characters basically showing what life is like for those in China. When the two girls leave their normal life in search of a better future, without poverty etc...they get pulled into the sweat shops. This book gave a little more information to what goes on in these sweat shops where most of our societies "things" comes from. It was a great new journey to follow with lots of ups and downs, on their bumpy road to a good life but they finally managed to make something of their new life they'd been searching a while for. The ending although is left on a cliff-hanger wanting to find out what happens next in their lives. This book was a pleasure to read, and discover! :)
