I was going to give it 2⭐️ because at first it was really nice and I was giggling and I had fun vlbut half way through the book I kind of was annoyed by the MMC and the way he was treating the FMC after her first time being intimate with a man no aftercare nothing but at the end it got better and the MMC grew on to me ...
Okay, so, I jumped to this one thinking it might be as good as book 2.
And…
It started off really strong, I was totally into it but then the FMC, Sienna… oh boy. She was so annoyingly juvenile, like she got off on provoking MMC at times just to be a brat, like it’s cute… I personally can’t stand it…. And this whole “I couldn’t hurt a spider” routine while she was absolutely demolishing plants and flowers because she was “nervous”? Come on. What was that?
The author tried to write her as clever (she had a knack for languages, sure), but personality-wise, she fell into the same cliché Bratva/mafia heroine mold: clueless, childish, spoiled, irrational, reckless, no sense of self-preservation, emotionally unstable, and just... dumb—but of course, genetically blessed and "so beautiful" it almost didn't matter (except it totally did).
She came off faker than vegan cheese at a barbecue.
The MMC started off cool, loved him at first but then suddenly he was bewitched by her (like... literally bewitched?) and I was like, huh? And if his men were supposedly elite-level loyal, Serbian mafia? Bratva? (I’m not sure) how was Sienna of all people able to manipulate or talk them into disobeying direct orders? 🙄 That had me seriously side-eyeing the whole operation.
And don’t even get me started on the 🌶️ you’d think the spice would at least save it, but… nope. It was all just surface-level. I found myself holding on just to get to the end. Honestly, the book could’ve dropped like 3 chapters (especially that whole “emerald” mess—what was the point of that?) and it would've been tighter and maaaaaaayybe slightly more satisfying.
I haven’t given up on this author, yet, book 2 gave me high hopes…but this one? Total letdown, especially right after such a strong installment.
Anyway, it’s totally up to you! I’m not saying don’t read it, but at least now you’ll know what to expect going in. 😉
Sigh….
