Really enjoyed this conclusion to the trilogy. I really enjoyed the way the story arc and the characters progressed between all three books, the books got a lot stronger compared to the first book.
Can't say too much since this is the third and final book in the trilogy, but I feel like there was a lot of surprises in this one. I do wish we got a bit more in the conclusion of the book like an epilogue.
Really looking forward to seeing what C.S. Pacat releases in the future

otherwise., I LAUGHED SO MUCH when Laurent quietly said that he had sex with damen like ???
Damen, I liked you even more as the volume progressed, like you're adorable <3 the story of the child with jokaste eh? it was sad though :(

« I miss you, Laurent said. I miss our conversations. » yes, even though he was drunk, I fell in love with him even more. (« I miss you too » I SCREAMED.)

it's such a great feeling when you're rereading one of your favorite series and it still hits just as hard. I love this world and these characters, and I'm so happy that it can make me feel so much. can't wait for my next reread in a few years.

This book could have been longer and I would have gleefully read every word. But I think that’s what makes a good series. When you finish a series and are desperate for another look into the lives of characters you’ve grown to care about. What I would give to have a whole chapter AT LEAST to see the state of things after life calms down for Damen and Laurent and their new joint kingdom.
