I absolutely devoured this.
The dialogue and pacing was so much better than the previous two books, as well as the characters coming to life even more.
To me, this series got better with each one, but I also believe it should've been edited into 1 big book instead. Then maybe have the Summer Palace short story added in as an Epilogue, because the ending of this does cut off pretty sudden.
When that's said, the story in book 3 progressed overall very satisfyingly, it still managed to have some unpredictable turns and twists, and I was overall just a huge sucker for all the sweet cuteness that was Damen & Laurent

ESE FINAL 10/10 que tremendo fue,la vdd fue épico la vdd,la verdad no me atrapó tanto toda la trilogía no es porque sea mala o algo pero para mí no me atrapan los libros de fantasías pero sé que esta trilogía fue estupenda la vdd solo que a veces la narrativa me dejaba confundida por de repente ya estaba en otra situación.
Aunque me hubiera gustado más narrativa de Laurent,al principio odie a Laurent la vdd pero el último libro se notó el amor de Laurent hacia Damen y fue tan puro el acto de sacrificar por él y de ganará aunque lo tomaran de frío y egoísta pero por Damen hizo de todo.
Me hubiera gustado más si a mí me gustara la fantasía pero la vdd para alguien que le guste la fantasía es muy buen libro y el romance es lo todo la vdd porque al final entre ellos su confianza y lealtad fue tan pura.

A truly fantastic ending to a trilogy of all time. Damen is one of my favorite fictional yearners.
Really satisfying conclusion to a series I wasn't convinced I would finish after reading book 1. The first book felt so bleak and mildly disturbing, but books 2 and 3 made it worth it. I sense I would feel differently about book 1 if I re-read it now. I didn't want this book to end. Great character development and story pacing. I wish there had been a epilogue, but I did see the author wrote a novella that acts as one.

I really loved this, and I am so, so glad that I unearthed the series when I did.
I'm definitely going to have to re-read it though: not just because it was wonderful, but because I'm sure there were little bits I missed here and there. This is definitely the kind of series you can read again and again.
