Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for same old, same old?

Stephanie Plum, always good for a quick read.

The series feels like it's dragging, but it still entertains for the most part.

The usual fluff, but in the BEST way. I'll always love this series. I especially liked that this one continued right where the last one left off.

Good one

This book is classic Plum. Lots of action, not as much dumb Lula (smarter and more useful), and a few good laughs.

This long-running series has been my go-to for comfort reads for years. I have missed several of the more recent releases, but I’m happy to report that I was able to jump right in to Fortune and Glory and meet Stephanie where she was!

It felt good to be along for her foibles and escapades again. If you are a fan of this series, you are in for a treat, a good laugh, and maybe, finally the answer of who she’ll choose between Ranger and Morelli?!

We all go through difficulties in life, and at some of my most challenging moments, when I had to decide between reading and possibly nothing at all, I was able to pick up a Stephanie Plum book and laugh and feel soothed. That’s good stuff, and I’m grateful for books like this when we need them!

I received a gifted copy.

Going in, I wasn't sure if the title change was indicative of the story coming to a close, but the typical Stephanie Plum formula is alive and kicking in this 27th book! Stephanie, as usual, finds herself in over her head but, fortunately, she has our favorite characters at her back: Lula, Connie, Grandma Mazur, Ranger, and Morelli. This time, she even has the new addition of one of her bounties, who has decided it is his life's duty to protect her. Little does he know that it's a full time job. There's also the addition of Gabriela Rose, a mysterious woman who has competencies in a lot of areas that Stephanie lacks for the job. It looks like Gabriela is introduced for a spin off series of her own, which seems like it may be more of a thriller/adventure type story since her skill set makes it less likely that she will bumble her way into humorous situations. Stephanie does have some self reflection, but otherwise, it is business as usual in Trenton!

This was definitely a Stephanie Plum book. I don't know why I enjoy these so much, but I do, and this was no exception.

This was quick & fun, total book junk food. Don't expect much, aside from silly jokes & outlandish adventure, & these books are fine.
