La historia se desarrolla muy bien. El final pese a que el malo recibe su castigo es agridulce.

It was really hard for me to find anything I enjoyed about this book. Overall, the plot was slow and repetitive, the characters acting incongruently, and the writing was... meh. The theme of love and obsession was not well portrayed in my opinion.

I could see that the writer wanted to make a point, but it eluded me until the end. "This is a story about love, this is a story about love" it kept repeating. Most of the time I was bored, some details were scary to think about but they were not developed properly.

I found myself confused also because I couldn't understand what the person telling this story wanted to say. Why are you telling this story? Why now? Why in that order? There was no point in coming back to the present, and the payoff was supposed to come in the epilogue, where they wrapped things up. I didn't care by that point, I just wanted this book TO END. It was a chore to read this.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, unless you are the sort of person to like stressing about characters that act stupid and don't know how to defend themselves. Suspense created by stupidity is my least favorite genre of books.

The Hook - Happenstance – Hard to believe but I was caught away from my bookshelves and had nothing to read. A visit to the Orlando Friends of the Library Book Store uncovered this thriller by an author I had never read. What started as chance turned out to be the perfect book for my mood.

The Line“Dying” “She said finally”, is such a simple act. But you need to learn that all the moments leading up to it and all the minutes afterwards, are terribly complicated.”

The Sinker”When Scott Freeman first read the letter that he found in his daughter’s top bureau drawer, crumpled up and stuffed behind some old white athletic socks, he knew immediately someone was going to die.” This grabber of a first sentence resulted in a double hook, catching my attention without spoiling anything yet to come.

Love. What is love? This seems to be the underlying question at the core of The Wrong Man. Is obsessive love, love just the same? Reviews are all over the place on this one but put me with the plus column. The Wrong Man is a psychological roller coaster ride with one of the creepiest characters I’ve encountered in a long time. There is violence but the real kick in the gut feelings come from the deliberate actions by a master of manipulation. At times so slow building that my stomach knotted, at others briskly paced, it moved just right. The Wrong Man might have been a bit long as some have mentioned but I never got bored. It may have been a bit over the top but I enjoyed every minute of it. In the end what I know is I never, and I mean never want to be at the receiving end of this kind of love.

I think I need to read another Katzenbach to get an honest feel of his writing.
Rounding up to 4.

Que buen thriller, todo el tiempo estuve pegada al libro, y mis nervios estuvieron a 1000, la trama es interesante y no se sintió floja en ningún momento. El final estuvo bien aunque me hizo sentir un poco melancólica por ciertos sucesos

This was an AWESOME suspense book, and sure to turn anybody off of a one night stand. A college girl has too many drinks and sleeps with the wrong guy. When he starts stalking her, he makes life difficult for anybody who tries to protect her. This book kept me blue from holding my breath from beginning to end.

I couldn't put it down, but I found the chapters with the writer distracting at first and then increasingly frustrating. After finishing, I can see why this side story was included/necessary to the plot, but wanting to know who these people were both encouraged me to keep reading and interrupted the flow of the novel.

This was one of the first books that I read. So, it's about this college professor who finds some letters in his daughter's room that were written by an anonymous person. Little did he know it was someone who loved his daughter a little too much. It started out as a fling and one too many drinks. This is definitely a page turner and something that you cant out down.
