Easy, silly, light and quirky fun little read. Knowing it was based on a real place (and of course, being set in NH) made it extra-fun.

This book was well-written and well-read and just a lovely family, situational drama with ghosts.

I had NO idea what this book was about. It was “available now” on Libby so I downloaded it and I loved it SO MUCH! I listened to the audiobook, I loved the narrator, he’s giving sweet grandpa voice, the story was odd and silly and emotional and weird but I loved it. Again I’m not sure why I liked it so much, I think I just really like quirky fiction with good characters and not romancey or action packed. Just such an overall good story and I have been so excited to read another one by Annie Hartnett after this.

I’m having such good reading luck recently! This book was silly and fun but also tackled some tough topics. I laughed and I cried. It didn’t take itself too seriously but didn’t get too weird either. I liked the ghost aspect but I was also glad it didn’t take over the whole plot and feel like a gimmick. It was just an absolute delight to read. Also funny because at work I was actually tasked with sending this author flowers on pub day! She deserves them for sure!

WOW is an understatement. I loved this book!

Pros:
Amusing ways to think about a difficult topics such as death, addiction, dementia(?), and more.
Cemetery tenants gave a unique 3rd person viewpoint
Awesome cast of characters especially the main characters, each with their own struggles and achievements
Writing allowed me to feel the emotions of the characters, to feel the hope, joy and sadness
Literally had me giggling at points
Unconventional storyline

Cons:
not worth mentioning
