Στο βιβλίο παρουσιάζεται η ζωή της λίγο πριν γνωρίσει τον Χάρι, η γνωριμία τους, που ενώ αρχικά φαινόταν ότι θα ήταν απλά ένα ραντεβού ήταν πολλά περισσότερα και φυσικά η ζωή τους μέχρι πριν λίγο καιρό.
Προσωπικά δεν μπορώ να πω ότι μου είναι συμπαθής η Μεγκαν και με αυτό το βιβλίο δεν άλλαξε η γνώμη μου. Πολλά τα είχα ακούσει ξανά, οπότε δεν ξαφνιάστηκα τόσο με τις πληροφορίες που αναφέρονται. Υποθέτω ότι δεν πέρασαν εύκολα και τελικά αποφάσισαν να απομακρυνθούν από τα βασιλικά καθήκοντα και τα αυστηρά πρωτόκολλά της Αγγλίας, αλλά το ίδιο φαντάζομαι περνούν και οι υπόλοιποι (άλλοι σε μεγαλύτερο βαθμό και άλλοι όχι). Σίγουρα δεν είναι εύκολη η ζωή τους, να τους κυνηγάει συνεχώς ο τύπος όπου κι αν βρίσκονται, χωρίς να σέβονται την ιδιωτικότητα τους, αλλά όφειλε να το περιμένει εφόσον παντρεύτηκε ένα βασιλικό γόνο.

I found this to be not great or bad, just okay! I liked the fact the author didn't throw anyone under the bus. There was fault on both sides. I hope Harry and Meghan have finally found freedom, peace and happiness.

This is a book that I read that pretty much didn't contain anything I didn't already read on Lainey because I read things like that and a better title for this book would maybe have been Quitting the Family Business: When Your Immediate Relations Are Your Bosses and Coworkers and That's Bad for Your Relationships Especially When the Toxic British Press Is Involved. (The lives of the super-wealthy are wild, friends.) It's obviously not super nuanced in re: anyone but H&M, but they're the ones on the cover and that's The Point. It was fine and I definitely read all of it and that's a choice I made and I support you if you make this choice too while also telling you Omid and Carolyn are careful to say that Chaz and Lilibet are loving parent/grandparental figures who just want the young ones to be happy.

I liked that this book was picturing rooms and places that i will never step my foot - private rooms of Buckingham palace, Sandringham, Windsor etc. Those little bits i really enjoyed.
But as to the main story - well...

I love the Sussexes. This story follows the journey of Megan and Harry's love story. It shows how their childhoods and adult lives before they met, shaped who they become and how their relationship blossoms. This book follows the story of how they meet and fall in love. It shows their journey from that first blind date to marriage and the birth of Archie. It continues down the road of them finding who they are, and finding freedom from the pressures of being Senior Royals in a Monarchy that has lasted for almost a thousand years.
I just found the writing style a bit tricky to follow.
