3.5 stars.

Overall, I enjoyed the book, but there were a few little things that kind of bugged me throughout. One was Grace. She was a bit repetitive at times and seemed to vacillate between sounding like a regular 9-year-old and sounding like someone older. I also was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see the development of Jesse and Rayleen's relationship, which made it a little hard to make sense of their ending. It seemed like it moved a bit fast in the three months that went by between their meeting and Grace's dance.

I would say the standout character for me was Billy. Pretty well-developed, and you can't help but root for him.

Such a cute story of how a little girl with a drug addict mother helps her neighbours become real neighbours. It's a story about relationships, bravery and loneliness. I loved the characters and the fact that, ultimately, it had a happy ending. Great for holidays!

This had everything I love about Hyde books. However, left me with some unanswered questions.

The story of a girl with a drug-addicted mother and her neighbours - most prominently, the nearing-middle-aged agoraphobic, Billy, who used to be a dancer - and how they all become friends.

This, while not I book I absolutely couldn't put down, was quietly delightful.

Sweet story

Good book. Sweet story. Loved the characters, I was able to get "close" with them. I will look for more books by the author.

This book has a real sense of people working together to help one little girl and how she affects all their lives.

This story is full of hope. It makes youvwsnt to believe in the inherent good of people again.
