It is so so hard for me to be objective in my ratings of these books.
For years, these books were my childhood.
From the time I was in late Elementary school up until I graduated High School I would read and reread these books. There are some legitimately great books in the Star Wars legends universe, and some completely garbage books. I've been re-reading all the post-ROTJ books lately in an attempt to plug in some of the holes of books that I never read and also for a solid trip down memory lane. If you ask almost any fan which Star Wars books to read they will recommend the original Thrawn trilogy. I would do the same but I would also highly recommend the X-Wing books. They're great fun and give a good glimpse into the immediate political events after ROTJ which form the basis of much of what happens in the following years for the rest of the Legends timeline.

Two of my favourite things - Han Solo and Rogue Squadron. What could be better!
A good way to end the Wraith Squadron section of this series, but still allow for the story to continue on afterwards. Here we see the Wraiths going after the warlord Zinj again. The new rogue, Lara, from the last book, is identified for who she really is and does what she can to help the squad out, even though she can't be a part of them anymore. As the title suggests, Han Solo joins the fight. It all ends up with a big showdown with the warlord. Overall it is a great entry into the series, which is worth reading all the way through.

It was fine. A little difficult to follow the battles, but otherwise a fluffy read.

A decent book, a lot of fleet level combat in this one. I really Like following Lara's story, though I'm not sure that I quite like how it turned out. A lot of interesting tactics and such which is kind of what the x-wing books are all about. hmmm I'll try to do better on the next review.
