I absolutely adored this book.
The plot had hooked the whole way through. The characters were all fully fleshed out and were mostly all loveable in their own ways. The writing was wonderful.
The plot twists had me GASPING. I don’t think I can fault this book on anything.

Adorei. Recomendo. Aguardo o próximo.

I don't often read middle game, but in an attempt to bond with a child whom I love, I picked this one up, and was pleasantly surprised.

There are some tropes that I, an adult, find sickeningly overused, but overall I think this is a really great more modernized version of a typical chosen one story.

My interpretation of the book:

SpoilerAmari never knew magic existed until she arrived the Bureau. She's never been a great student at school; always getting detention and teased. She didn't have much friends. Her only friend is her brother. Was her brother. Who's now missing.

The same happens in the Bureau. Apparently she's an 'illegal' magician and is a threat to everyone. But Amari wasn't going to let some exclusion stop her from searching her brother.

But then she befriends a friend who's sister is missing just like Amari. The boy is also a magician except that his identity is well hidden.

Dylan (the boy Amari befriends) and Amari works together to find their missing siblings. But for some reason, nothing is working. There's a betrayer amiss. That's when Amari realises that the betrayer is the person who she's working with.

This was such a fun read! At first I thought it had touches of The Umbrella Academy and Harry Potter, but as the story continued, it became much more unique.

The book ended without a cliffhanger, so I’m not absolutely desperate to find out what happens next, but I am looking forward to the next installment and seeing more of these characters, especially Amari and Elsie!

I didn’t know what to expect from Amari and the Night Brothers!

I truly enjoyed it!

I cannot not wait to read the next book in the series.

Amari is definitely Black Girl Magic ✨

I love her boldness and strength to do what ever it took to find her brother, Quinton.

Great Novel!
