I read this one in grad school, too, for the same project as Ella Enchanted. It's an excellent book for pre-teen girls especially--very empowering. A great story about sisters and being brave to save someone you love.

I own this book. I read it all the time. It’s definitely one of my most favorite books ever. The world-building is so vivid that I can see everything clearly in my head. And I’m a sucker for stories about sisters, so this was just perfect.

I liked this book very much as a teen, so I reopened it when looking for a comfort read. It was a very quick read as an adult, and it does lack some depth. However, it was still a good comfort read!

I highly recommend for any girls - it's a sweet story about finding yourself, bravery, sisterhood, and letting go.
