Overall a good book, a great read that took me back to my time as a teenager reading the original hunger games. My one qualm is that the pacing is weird and it ends very abruptly.

We all know what happens to Coriolanus Snow, so it’s nice to see how he gets to be that way. Like most men, he put poor Lucy (in this case) on an unobtainable pedestal and she was the one who paid for it.

While I hate Snow, it was cool reading about the past. I liked learning more about past Panem and the early developments with how the Hunger Games would eventually pan out.
