I bought this and the third almost the day after I finished the first. This book is just as much of a page turner. The political intrigue and visceral danger get turned up another notch in this one and left me unable to put it down. The characters are engaging and three dimensional, you laugh at Dorst and the Pack's antics, feel for Cora when she's hurt and curse (at least I did haha) when Nijmege can't let go of the past and her hatred. What I loved probably the most was watching Whiskey and Margaurethe interact. Both 'knew' one another, using that term some what loosely, for so long and meeting one another dispelled a lot of the fantasy they had built up. Their story arc is real, painful, and beautiful and I found myself rooting for them the entire time.
